How can you change a built in dishwasher to a free standing one?
I was given a dishwasher that was part of a kitchen, built into the cabinets. I have space for it but no cabinet. Should I just build one, do ready made cabinets for dishwashers exist? Please do not tell me to just buy a new one that is not an option! Thanks for all your help.

- Attatch a plug in cord and an attatchment for the fill and drain hoses and "caster" wheels.
- You are in UK? I'm sure there is some kind of remodeling second hand stores there, we have the Habitat for Humanity in the US they resell stuff that contractors donate, like cabinets, boards, paints, etc. But anyway, I did that, put a cabinet over the one we got and it works fine just, had to do a little bit of work to get it all looking straight.
- Normally they are just inserted into a space near the electrical and plumbing required ,Hot/Cold water and drain access. This might make stand alone quite difficult.
- They exist. Many lumber centers also sell cabinets. The trick is making sure the dishwadher is in the right place for water and drain.
