what dryer part do I need to order if it turns on automatic without pushing on button,?
My dryer is like the timer never goes off, the dryer comes on when u shut the door and we have 2 leave door open to keep from running continueously. Does it need new timer? I don't want to order wrong part for these parts aren't cheap, but cheaper than a new dryer.

- sounds like you need a contactor, sounds like it's stuck on. had the same problem too.
- Sounds like the timer isn't turning off. What is brand and your model number? Per the web site (http://appliancequickfix.com) MECHANICAL TIMERS - have a little motor on the back that keep the timer going through its cycles. If the motor is shot, then it will just stay in one place and never shut itself off. I still think it's a timer. Is the timer advancing?
- It sounds like the start switch or start relay may be welded shut.
